Privacy Policy
This page explains what happens to your data when you use convertbankstatement.online. The short version: your bank statement is processed in memory, used once to extract transactions, and never written to any server or database. We have no copies of your statements and couldn't retrieve one if we tried.
1. What we collect
Files you upload
When you upload a bank statement, the file is read by your browser, converted to text or an image, and sent to an AI processing service. The file is held only in your browser's memory and in transit between services. It is never stored on any server we operate.
Payment information
If you pay $1.99 to unlock a full conversion, the transaction is handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy, our payment processor. We never see your card details. Lemon Squeezy shares limited data with us after payment completes: an order ID, your billing email, and a country code. We use this only to confirm access, handle refunds, and meet tax obligations.
Technical metadata
Our infrastructure provider, Cloudflare, automatically logs basic request data for security purposes: your IP address, browser user-agent, the time of your request, and which page you visited. We do not run any analytics scripts, advertising pixels, or tracking cookies on this site.
2. Who processes your data
| Service | What they see |
|---|---|
| Anthropic (Claude API) | The text or image of your bank statement, for the seconds needed to extract transactions. Anthropic does not train models on API inputs. See anthropic.com/privacy. |
| Cloudflare | Hosts the website and API proxy. Sees your IP address and request metadata. See cloudflare.com/privacypolicy. |
| Lemon Squeezy | Processes payments if you choose to pay. Handles all card data — we never see it. See lemonsqueezy.com/privacy. |
3. How long we keep data
Uploaded files: not retained. The file is gone once your browser receives the extracted transactions.
Payment records: retained for as long as required for tax and accounting purposes — typically 7 years under applicable law. This covers the transaction record (order ID, amount, email), not your bank statement.
Server logs: retained by Cloudflare under their standard policy (typically 30 days for security logs). We do not maintain separate copies.
4. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, delete, correct, or object to use of your data. To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@convertbankstatement.online. We respond within 30 days.
Note that because we don't store bank statement files or personal information beyond payment records, most data requests will result in confirmation that we hold very little about you.
5. International users
The service is operated from India and uses Cloudflare's global edge network. By using the service, you understand your data may be processed outside your country. We apply the same privacy practices to all users regardless of location. We do not use cookies for tracking, run no advertising, and store no statement data — which means the practical cross-border data transfer risk is low.
6. Children
This service is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has made a purchase, contact us and we will delete the associated payment record.
7. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
